I grew up in a small mill town in Western Maine called Mexico. I attended the University of Pennsylvania where I earned a BA in Fine Arts and an MFA in Sculpture. I returned home during the summer to work. I came to Vinalhaven in 1976 to build a house for a professor friend and stayed on. I love this community. I have been a member of the Vinalhaven Fire Department for over 40 years. I am a member of the Vinalhaven Lions Club. I have had a real estate license since 1985.

I cover the islands of Vinalhaven and North Haven. Both communities have excellent K thru 12 schools. They are year-round communities with comfortable services including great grocery stores, plumbers, carpenters, and electricians. We are located in the middle of Penobscot Bay with some of the best fishing, sailing, and boating waters on the East Coast. Both islands are served by the Maine State Ferry Service which maintains a full schedule year-round. Although there may not be a better place to spend July and August, many find it home at Thanksgiving and Christmas as well.

Besides my sculpture work, which I currently do in granite, I have built several houses in a former life from the ground up. My understanding of real estate first-hand goes from the landscaping, septic, and foundation to the roof and chimney. I would be happy to share the islands with you.
